Pottery is an integral part of my life.
As a youth I enjoyed warm summer days playing in the mud making
shapes. The clay to me represents mud in
motion and it is up to me to give it a shape and sense of purpose. Each piece is made with a “touch of love” in
it and comes from my heart. I can not
imagine life without pottery or feeling my hands running through the wet, slick
mud.
I specialize in
hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery using different clay bodies and an array of
glaze colors. My pieces can be as
vibrant as the sun or as soft as the moonlight.
I also love to combine melted glass into some of my work, giving them a
unique look. The most exciting aspect of
pottery is looking into my kiln and seeing the final creations.
